I'm kinda figurin' on all this grudge racin' going on during Time Trials inbetween 5 & 7:30 before dark.
...At Eastex when it was serious money on the line, we'd have someone from each side standing behind the clock operator in the tower with a deputy standing behind them with the money on the counter in cash and the door locked. We'd take 10% of the total for the track and the winner got escourted wherever he wanted to go on the track or to the gate.
....What ever racin' needs to get done we'll do our best to do it fair and totally impartial.

Well as of today the bike is a full bore MM bike. The work, thanks to Mr. Jones, did not take that long. So we will see what happens now. Should be fun though. It is always fun going faster right???? |

Red, you make the callup and I'll be ready. Give a little notice though, Need a couple of passes at least to get motor warmed up. I figure time trials will be hot and heavy with the crowd of unAmerican motors and passes will be in short supply. Cool weather is the prediction so I've got a couple of test and tune thngs to get right. Tech is being pretty quiet, must be working on his motor. Haven't touched mine since Temple. I hear Doug M. has a new carb all worked out, bet he'd like a bit of the action, too. ITS GONNA BE FUN NO MATTER WHAT!!!!!!!!!!! We may not be as quick as the off brands but we have a great time. Doug I've still got that bottle of wine. So far I haven't heard of any money being bet by anyone, not me for sure, I'm getting ready to start building a new motor for a different class, waiting on new rules.

Why would he ride my bike?? I guess I could let him for the grudge race. Probably better for 2 60+ racers to go at it as opposed to 35 and 68 yrs young. Haha. But you are right a sporty that weighs half as much as your dyna would smoke you in a hearbeat. Ah good times indeed |

Just curious, was that your age and wisdom that I beat in Temple? Was that you I raced in the final? Just wondering what you have done to your bike to now beat mine. Again just curious. And before you were saying you were gonna whip my dad and his "chickster" now you want to run him on my bike. Lets make up your mind. Or maybe in your old age you have forgotten what you said. Yeah I know I should be lucky to live so long, and you have a lot more experience than I do. I have heard it before. Haha just messin with ya. See you on Saturday |

No Mr Tech, you said you'd dust my Sporty off. So I'll race my Sport against your Dyna just like you challenged. You've never said that I'd be riding Mike's bike. Anyone else agree or disagree with this. I'm smart enough to know I can't jump from one bike to another that I haven't ridden and go quick.

Can't wait to see the line at the gate and in the staging lanes for time trials. There's only one thing I won't wait in line for, and that's food. Old military hang up
